Just to confirm that we are away to Basildon Utd in the Velocity Cup next Tuesday rather then being at home in the league to Hornchurch

Not to doubt you but all we’ve got while trying to get confirmation is that nothing has been decided yet!

Not exactly confirmation then ….
and it's Basildon United, not Basildon Town.

My assumption would be that if it wasn’t urgent enough to have been sorted out by now it’s not urgent enough to postpone 2 games to okay it next week.

It seems that I was given some duff information and I put 2 and 2 together to make 5 and hence my misinformed original post

I can confirm that Basildon United away is Tuesday February 4th.
Tuesday January 28th is Hornchurch at home - don't be late.

For reference: the Basildon tie is in the last 16 so the winner goes into the quarter finals.
Anybody have any idea where the final might be? I know it was Aveley last year.

It's Corinthian-Casuals … don't forget the - Is that like the oft missing E in FolkEstone? Maybe the "-" is a missing letter? "Corinthiandcasuals" maybe?

Worthing will play Cheshunt in the quarter finals.
That leaves the winner of or trip to Basildon to play either: Bracknell, Margate, Maldon & Tiptree, Brightlingsea Regent or the winner of Burgess Hill v Corinthian Casuals which is played on the same night.

Bracknell are at home to Maldon and Tipree. So it's either Margate,Brightlingsea or Winner of Burgess Hill v Cornthian Cas.

Their game yesterday called off. Now not due to rain there until next weekend so hopefully we’ll still have a game on Tuesday.

Can’t see any mention of our match tomorrow on their website. Am I wrong or are they not expecting us? Do I have my dates muddled?

Superdraw result birthdate draw = 17/11/11. The chap is either 8 years old, or 108. Top effort either way.

Doesn’t appear to have rained since last Monday, certainly not significantly, which worries me if they still couldn’t get the game on Saturday. Had 2 postponed since they last played on 11th January. Very much expecting to wake up to a postponement.

Basildon will now reach a month without a home game. Tonbridge have already reached that point and I’d put money on us not being able to play there next Tuesday. Quite ridiculous that clubs that clearly have long standing issues with their pitch can effectively hold teams and cup competitions to ransom after being drawn at home. Nothing wrong with the weather putting a game off from time to time but both clubs are seemingly unable to host games so it’s madness they’re allowed to until it’s sorted.

It's a shame we're still in the League Cup and KSC. We're in a title race that could change the future of the club, and these games keep getting pushed back to congest the schedule further. Play the U-18s and let the first team focus on winning the league.

Callum was due to serve a suspension tonight so I believe he will now miss the game on Saturday.
