So Amadou Kassaraté won't be with us next season. I wonder what his other offer was.

So Amadou Kassaraté won't be with us next season. I wonder what his other offer was. That's a pity - he was one of last season's players that I was hoping we would keep - one of three imho.

Tonbridge have now announced their released players, so my guess is we might hear about some new signings this week.

A bit more www.kentonline.co.uk/folkestone/sport/lokko-sets-record-straight-324904/I know a lot of you can't access kentonline, so....... New Folkestone Invicta defender Kevin Lokko reveals he turned down higher-division and more lucrative offers in favour of Cheriton Road move Thomas Reeves treeves@thekmgroup.co.uk Published: 05:00, 28 May 2025 | Updated: 09:00, 28 May 2025 | | | | Kevin Lokko has revealed he turned down more lucrative higher-division offers in favour of his Folkestone summer switch.
Defender Lokko became Invicta manager Jay Saunders’ first close-season recruit.
There had been plenty of social media suggestions the 29-year-old had agreed to sign for Invicta for financial reasons.
But Lokko said: “I laughed because I saw some of the comments about me signing for Folkestone and a lot of it was about money - but I got offered a lot of money to go to National League South, a lot more money than Folkestone had offered.
“But I dropped down to the Isthmian League because I want to be part of a team that does win something and I need to be part-time, too.
“So, I could have easily gone to a National League South side and picked up good money and been at sort of a mid-table team.
“But really and truly, at this stage of my career, I’m desperate to go and get a promotion and to win something. There's a bit more but that's the general gist of it.

According to the Club website we have nine players of which two of those are goalkeepers, with the lack of anything happening with the new pitch and no sign of any new players coming in has everyone gone on holiday ?

Hopefully this means that signings are being thought about and discussed properly. Unlike last time when players were being signed left, right and centre. Still plenty of time until the season starts. Last time was too much of a circus for me, we ended up with too many clowns.

Mikey Berry now confirmed folkestoneinvictafc.co.uk/2025/06/welcome-mikey-berry/"Mikey is the first of a number of players to put pen to paper this week as manager Jay Saunders builds his squad for the 2025/26 season, with pre-season training set to begin in under three weeks."

This is correct so if you announce players early you run the risk of losing them to other clubs and therefore looking stupid for announcing them, Roll on the fun..

Jake Hutchinson looks a useful recruit. The Board's Leeds fans might notice he's just an inch shorter than John Charles - hopefully he will emulate the gentle giant's goal scoring feats.

Signing Liam Smith ?--well I think that with the obvious 4-way Tonbridge Angels links and mutual respect that is what is called a "no-brainer" these days. Liam is a born leader both on and off the pitch who will probably go on to dominate away coach trips (!) but more importantly he is an excellent sub keeper and penalty-taker who is rarely unfit. Not only that but his younger brother Ethan stepped into level 4 with ease from the Gills Academy at a very young age--just saying.
