Ramsgit and Shittingbourne lost. Tissues for Stumpy? I'm not emotionally involved. Result was fair enough; Sittingbourne started OK and were one up at half-time, but Three Bridges dominated the second half and were worth the win. In the Kent League (SECFL, whatever) play-offs, Faversham lost to Corinthian and Glebe lost to Erith - so that final is 4th v 5th as well.

I know that play-offs are here to stay and there are lots of arguments in their favour, but it feels somehow wrong that a team, like Ramsgate, can finish so far ahead of the other play-off contenders and then go out to a team that finished 20 points behind them in the league.
In Italy they have a rule that if the leading play-off qualifier finishes 12 points or more ahead of the others, they go up and the play-offs are scrapped; seems fairer to me, but I might be in a minority here.

Fair comments about play offs, but at least there will now be TWO Planet Thanet derbies, something that has not happened for ages. I wonder what the attendances will be but depends on team position in league but has to be Xmas and Easter surely.

You'd have thought so, even if the league do do some strange things sometimes - like our two Tuesday night games against Hastings the season before this.

Enfield beat beat Wingate 1-0 The goals weren't quite that late John. Chatham scored in the first minute of the second period of extra time and Horsham equalised about five minutes later. It was an excellent game with both teams going at each other, and Horsham will probably feel on chances they should have won. The Referee played his part too, no less than FOURTEEN yellow cards (11 players, 3 on the bench!!). Oh, and I saw Edgy there too.

Ref was good at Sittingbourne, kept his cards in his pocket except where he had no choice.
