PB only 2 points ahead of us. A chance to go up a place, depending on other results also. Let's teach the Scholars a lesson (see what I did there? ) COYS!!!

Recent pitch work meaning the turf holding up a lot better in recent rain?

Recent pitch work meaning the turf holding up a lot better in recent rain? Let's hope so; lot of rain Thursday, not so much yesterday, until the evening anyway; pretty wet this morning and raining moderately hard right now. Tough game on paper - Potters Bar's low position/points tally is down to having an abysmal first 10 games or so; since then, their form has been as good as any of the play-off contenders.

Been shot down before asking if there's a pitch inspection Mind you I've heard on the grapevine that a local ref passed the pitch as okay at 11am. Potters Bar clearly needed that sort of info. We'll leave last minute postponements to those over the hill eh?

Facebook post says another pitch inspection is now happening due to another downpour.

Strange. It's damp around Folkestone and rain is forecast but I haven't noticed "another downpour". Good to let people know about postponements. But not to imply that happening before it does. If the match does go ahead this will have taken a few off the gate.

I guess it depends on your definition of "downpour"; I wouldn't call it that, but it been raining fairly steadily for a couple of hours and things are a bit wet outside. I've seen us play when it's been wetter: I guess it's to do with how wet the pitch already was and whether it can soak up any more?

Let's hope their journey isn't in vain. Happened a couple of times to me over the years and it's really frustrating - especially when you set off having been told the game is on.

That's everyday exaggeration for you! There's now a torrential deluge red flood alert Icelandic-type earth fissure and tsunami warning here in Postling. Or put another way, moderate steady rain. :-)

Here, about half a mile from the ground, it has stopped raining now.
