It's another great, and maybe unexpected, away win for the lads.
The team togetherness grows by the game, as players get to know each other`s game and the way they want to play as a team.
In the first half, we were blunting their attacks with some formidable defensive play, marshalled by Gaylie and Callum and a terrific performance by young Toby Byron at left-wing back.
We were looking far more dangerous going forward at this stage. Thirty minutes in and sure enough Dave Smith, who was giving them some problems, got first to a ball and was taken down by their keeper. Took the pen himself and calmly tucked it away.
Fifteen minutes later following a goalmouth scramble Kane Penn scored from close in to make it 2-0 going in at the break.
We expected them to come at us after the break, which they did, but our defence was so good today and only conceded in the ninety-sixth minute.
We also nearly had a third just before that when our new left wingback Michael Kedman was through on goal and forced their keeper into a fingertip save.
Then to our relief, the final whistle went.
We went long to Derry quite a bit, but I felt we looked more dangerous using the flanks and through the middle.
Good games from Fregene and Sanago again today and Kane Penn as I mentioned Byron was excellent { will miss him }! But they all put a great effort in today and you can't ask for more than that. COYS!

Indeed. Potters Bar threw it away in spectacular fashion. Potters Bar won 4-3 against Concord. My bad (as the kids say). I must have last looked on 89 minutes as i thought it ended 2-3!! Looks quite a game, with comebacks by both teams: 4 Potters Bar Town Leigh Rose (4') Rickie Hayles (45') Temi Babalola (90' pen) Ore Bello (90') 3 Concord Rangers Ola Bello (65') Harrison Day (76' pen) Harrison Day (80') Isthmian League - Premier Division Attendance: 181

We possibly need someone to replace Heardie to play behind the front two. Allsopp looked to be tiring when pulled towards the end. He had had a good first half to be fair to him.

We possibly need someone to replace Heardie to play behind the front two. Allsopp looked to be tiring when pulled towards the end. He had had a good first half to be fair to him. Same against Carshalton and Hornchurch, Gerry; good first half, subbed second. Maybe he's not a 90 minute player and that's known and the subs planned? He's a crowd pleaser though and has made a good start.

Heardie is hard act to follow. Could have done with his energy in the 2nd half. Louis Collins may be worth a try in that role.?

Well worth the trip to deepest Essix. Great performances all round. Shame there weren’t more away fans there to enjoy it. Roll on Tuesday.
