What a shame. From where I've stood on the terraces it's always felt like Scott has given nothing less than 100% for the shirt over the years. Thanks Heardy, it's been fun.

Get the feeling that no matter how good you are or rated if you was part of last management team/regime your not wanted here anymore. Mad decision. Would walk into my starting 11, best player against Margate only a few weeks ago

I would like to see Andy Drury, FIFC and new Board do well (Josh came across really well in the podcast)
But....... seriously have to question this decision in releasing Scott Heard, in my opinion still has a great deal to offer and would still be one of the first names on team sheet.

Disappointed with this news. Scott always gave 100% and whenever he did not make the starting eleven his energy and forward runs were missed. Thanks very much for your time here Scott and good luck for your future. Andy Drury needs to build a squad of players that playing for Folkestone means something, show a desire to be here for the future and oh, convince supporters that they are good enough.

This is really disappointing. I cannot understand why we let such a hard working and creative midfielder leave. Hard to get behind this team when you don’t have time to learn their names and then they are gone again, plus then letting all our established players go. Big struggle for any identity at the moment.

It's all been said above. Scratching my head over this one, or I would be if I hadn't seen it coming. Thanks, Scott, for all you've done over the years.
Just wondering who else is on contract and whether any of them will make it to the end of this season...

It's a tough life show business, loyalty and commitment over the years can count for zilch in the end whilst hanging around beyond your sell by date can get you deified… serendipity Thanks and best wishes Scotty now beam me up !

very disappointed, Scott is one of our best players, Alway gave 100%, sometimes cannot understand management decisions

Been a great player at the club, followed his progress today and the fans have said he was a great addition.

Been a great player at the club, followed his progress today and the fans have said he was a great addition. The fans? Presumably you mean the Herne Bay fans? Yes, I should imagine they are pleased to have him. The Jordan Ababio loan to Ashford can be explained by the fact that he doesn't obviously fit the formation we are playing. That doesn't apply in Scott's case, so we have to assume Andy just prefers some of the other midfield options available to us. Who's to say he's wrong - and maybe Scott wanted to move on, we don't know; but, as you say, he has been a great player for us and is far from past it, so it's no surprise that people are a bit puzzled, and a bit sad, at this one.

Just out of interest are all these players that have left been under contract? If so (a) has it been cancelled by mutual consent with no money involved, (b) if gone to another club was a fee obtained, (c) was money paid to the player leaving as club cancelled contract with no mutuality?

Some of them would have been under contract - the ones signed by Cugs and/or Mev and Edgy - others not - the ones who were here for a few weeks before they left again.
As for a, b and c, we haven't been told, so who knows? Although Ira's departure seems to have been his own decision.
