I'm not exactly surprised that Ira has gone, to be honest I was expecting it to happen sooner, but it's still sad and, of course, his decision to "hang up his boots" is a surprise, but he will have his reasons and I've no doubt they are sound ones. You only have to talk to Ira, or listen to his interviews, to see that he is a very intelligent, honest, thoroughly decent man and, sad though I'm sure we all are to see him go, we have to respect his decision.
Hugely popular with the young supporters, to whom he always gave time after every home game, and one of our best players in recent years.
Thanks, Ira, and all the best for the future.

Thanks for everything, Ira, we had a lot of fun along the way and you'll always have a warm welcome at Cheriton Road. Best of luck with whatever comes next!

Scored some wonderful goals for us. Amazing set-piece technique, Premier League standard some of them, and often too! Was hoping to see you back Ira but wish you the very best for the future.
