Should never have been loaned out in the first place. Idiotic decision.

Good performance, fans applauded by the players at the end. Team/staff huddle followed...some belief is back🤞 Poor turnout from Margate fans...less than 600 on a bank holiday..

Excellent commentary again. Work well as a commentary team (although Ade's microphone needs turning up).

Much happier bus on the way home today.
The team had a much more familiar look about it with Jordan back on the right flank and Kane Penn { good game from him again! } down the left.
Up top we had Dave Smith and Tom Derry as a pairing, three central defenders ,Jake Goodman Callum and Chris Sessengon and a midfield of Cole ,Heardie and Sanogo. So a 3-5-2 shape which some of us have been calling for for some time.
Dave Smith is a finisher, and if given the opportunity will score. Today he got two, one a penalty and a deft header for the second, which won us the game.
Jordan Abbabio made a welcome return and it was he who fouled for our first goal. He also forced their keeper into a terrific save in the second half, with a run and powerful shot, which we know he has in locker.
We had to defend for most of the second half , but looked reasonably secure, apart from one off the line clearance, from Kane Penn, I think..
Their keeper made a really fine save from Jordan which would have settled some nerves, but the spirit was good in the side today and they deserved the three points.
So, not a classic by any means , but a vitally important three points which takes us away from the dreaded bottom four.
Lets get a home win now to make us feel even better. Home to Wingate whom we beat 4-0 in the first game of the season. They are now in the play off positions!!!
COYS make this the turning point for our season!

Goodman was outstanding at center back, Callum bossed their center forward and Sessengon made some good forays forward at times.Worked well together.

Really enjoyed that today. Every single one of the team put a big shift in and things finally clicked a little more up front - no coincidence that Smith and Ababio were heavily involved. Midfield had more energy and we looked solid at the back having to withstand a lot of second half pressure. A good platform to build on and hope it gives the team and the manager some much needed confidence.

Reaction Dave Smith likes playing 2 up front. Are we going to see more of this?

Early highlights from a groundhopper. Match from about 6 minutes in but interrupted with a lot of chit chat & manages to miss our 2nd goal. Interesting to hear a neutral's opinion (doesn't like the ground, attendance or match).

Alot of what we did yesterday I liked. Started the game well and looked dangerous up front. Changed shape with just two up front and re introduced Jordan back into the team following his loan spell away. The whole team made their way down to the Fifc supporters at the final whistle to celebrate with them - this has not always happened in the past but is important. I hope AD gets a run of positive results he seems a decent bloke. I was disappointed that we sat back in the second half we did invite them on to us which I thought unnecessary and more risky than playing on the front foot. A third goal would have definitely killed them off. Against Hashtag the majority of the second period was played in our half and we eventually conceded and lost the game. Soaking up pressure I don't see as a good tactic for us. Moving away from 4-3-3 ought to enable us to be more compact but needs work in training. A left sided midfielder will give us a better balance. No one in the squad seems to fit this role. Great effort from the players but need to go again Saturday.

Highlights. Strangely the camera seems to have swapped sides at half time.
