Difficult to ask no holds barred questions if I can't get there and any advance questions will possibly be filtered out?

As far as I'm concerned we should focus on the debt; who is it owed to, when was it incurred and how.
The playing side is what it is - a mess, but we have to hope that Andy Drury can improve it; signing better players is one side of that, although we don't know if they are any better until we have seen them play (which is why I don't get excited about new signings), but also Andy needs to get more out of the players we already have, because some of them have dropped below the level of performance we have seen from them in the past. All we can do is get behind the team and not get on their backs. To be fair, I don't think the crowd have been on their backs this season. We've been very patient, but I don't talk to anyone who is enjoying it much at the moment, and the players don't look as if they are enjoying it either.

Certainly will - I hope that there's a good turn-out. An open dialogue is something to be welcomed. With the exception of Paul Morgan, the club has always been too secretive about too many things, so some open communication is something to be welcomed. The people who complain about that secrecy (and that includes a lot of us), can't really complain any more if that communication is offered and they choose not to come along.

So, any early feedback? Or is everyone playing bingo?

There was a lengthy opening from the Director of Operations Charlie Wilson and then from the chairman himself; it pre-empted many of the questions that might otherwise have been asked, but there was good time for questions from the floor and those questions were all answered fairly openly.
Were there any major revelations? Not really; people who went hoping for reassurance about the club's ambitions for the future will have been happy with what they heard. People with concerns about the finance side of things will still have some of those concerns.
The bottom line is that we need to achieve success on the pitch; you get the feeling that if we do that the new board will continue to support the club; if not, things might become a bit delicate.

Neil has not left, just stepped down as a director.

Stumpy sums it up pretty much.
The point the chairman reiterated was their ambition to grow the club, but in a way that it becomes more or less self-sustaining financially. Far healthier in my opinion than having to depend on a benefactor.

Was there no statement as to why Neil Cugley left ? Yes, there was. The gist of it was that Neil agreed to step down from the board following a discussion with the chairman. There were two factors mentioned; one was that the board had decided to drop the "Director of Football" role; the other was that Neil is not in a position to put finance into the club. Neil will still be very much around the club and contribute with his experience and advice, he just won't be a director and won't have an official role. That's what I heard anyway - if I've got it wrong or left anything out, I'm sure someone can correct me.

Yes. He told John Laws that they could get someone to sponsor it so that it would not come out of club funds. Worth pursuing I feel Geoff { even to the point of boredom lol }
