Those who know me as a bit of a tree hugger will understand my disappointment and devastation following the destruction of the trees in and around the ground. I don't think they were diseased or dangerous, just a bit messy in the autumn. Apart from the environmental value and the subsequent impact of their loss, the beer gardeners will miss the shade. Will they be replaced?
Let's hope what follows is impressive and aesthetically pleasing. No grey cladding and black window frames please.

What are they going to replace them with? Hard parking for a Lamborghini or two? Not impressed...

They have to clear the vegetation before the house building starts

I think they missed a trick; whenever Jimmy Godden had some alterations or repairs to do, the old premises used to catch fire and the insurance money paid for the new stuff. Bad luck or what...?

I hope the 100 year old tree has a TPO.
Perhaps the company who did the building work outside Stripes, Black and Amber, Bar Invicta or Dugout should have been asked to carry out remedial work.

Sad to see the removal of any trees at the ground , we spent many hours pruning them to allow the game to be seen from Stripes . Even the Hawthorns have disappeared out the front. The vision now is just square building not softened by nature at all.

Is anyone aware of the progress being made at Stripes? As I understand it the owners are turning it into a sports bar of some sort. I didn't get to the last two home games so haven't seen what progress has been made.

As I understand, new flooring throughout front bar, trees chopped down, wall to wall to screens, more trees cut down, speakers in the ceiling, new bar installation in front area, hopefully improved toilet facilities and I forgot to mention, no trees left to cut down ! Plans for post match music to keep/ make the place lively! Look forward to non catering truck food provision. Key word is positivity… isn’t it?

Will we be creating a sensory room like our friends over the hill?

Will we be creating a sensory room like our friends over the hill? What a brilliant initiative, identifying and acting on a 'hidden' need should be applauded.
