We got caught short at the back when 1:0 up, chasing the game in the last few minutes! In hindsight not a good move. So they got a free kick in a very dangerous place just outside the area and lobbed the wall! 1:1 Shortly after Tim pulled off a wonder save, otherwise we may have even lost.
We were lively second half, especially dangerous when Chinny & Kieron came on though. We have to find a way to finish the opposition off like Worthing do! Haringey were there for the taking for large parts of the game. Our stuttering front line needs sorting out!

Is Jerson DS on some ridiculous money or something? Otherwise I simply can't comprehend how a player so out of form (or ability -difficult to judge after the start he had) can continue to start. It's detrimental to the side when someone cannot keep the ball or look to teamates in a more favourable position.
Don't like to single someone out, and the lad can't be doing it on purpose / sure he's a nice bloke, but it's bizarre at any level.

So frustrating! Difficult conditions with blustery wind. First half both sides struggled and it was fairly even, with one good chance each, neither on target. Second half we played much better and were well on top, without making many clear chances. Then they get one sent off (bit harsh maybe?) and we get the lead with an excellent goal from JV. What happened afterwards is hard to excuse; as Simondo says, rather than shut up shop against the ten men for what little remained of the game, we kept pushing on and somehow managed to let them get wrong side of our back four and JV was pretty much forced to bring their man down; unfortunately the free kick was in a really dangerous position and a lot of us feared the worst - sure enough the bloke hit it perfectly and Tim had no chance of saving it.
Definitely two points thrown away.

Then they get one sent off (bit harsh maybe?) It was much worse than Alfies tackle last week if that is any gauge? I was reasonably close and definitely a dark orange to red as Kisitu caught Heardy's foot quite badly, Heardy had chipped the ball forward anticipating a tackle.

Not the first two points thrown away. Not happy with the language from the Manager at the end. He should have just walked away and not got into a slagging match. It did not look good.

It did not look good. as somebody who is prone to losing temper and being foul with his language I fully back the manager there. If you’re up for having a pop don’t expect nothing back.

Well, you were definitely closer than I was and I didn't have my glasses on by then (there's a story behind that, but not a very exciting one), so you're much more likely to be right than me; Anthony's video will reveal all.

I’ve put some lead plates in my boots to keep me on the scaffold tower Seems the extra plumbicus did its job for you obertan. I did wave to u a couple of times so u could film the elusive bollockchops but clearly focussed on the game. Must say the glasses and neatly trimmed full set completed your colourful weather gear on top of tower. Why use an ashford firm for it rather than a folkestone one?

We once again leave the ground with the feeling of points being thrown away. This has happened far too often this season for this to be a coincidence!
So it seems to me that the manager has to look at what is going wrong upfront with the team. You cannot go on, if you have any ambitions to progress, accepting a situation of too many chances not being put way week after week.
Conditions underfoot were not great today and the high wind did not help, so this really was a continuation of last weeks rather `bitty ` performance. We did improve in the second half but it wasn't until the changes with Kieron and Chinny coming on ( why did we have to wait so long .. it was obvious from twenty minutes in what was needed! ) that we really started to jell and indeed started to dominate the game. It was no surprise then when JV came sliding in at the back post in the eightieth minute to put us 1-0 up.
Surely we have won now! But no, a really debatable free-kick against JV on the edge of our box on about the 89th minute allows them to equalize right at the death. Frustrating !! A game that should have been dead and buried well before is allowed to be drawn because an inability to close a game down.
Positives? Well, Kieron and McKenzie improved the side when they came on, ( could have been done much sooner, in my opinion ) and at least we picked up another point. Plus you can add to today's squad (all unavailable) Matt Newman, Alfie Paxman, Sam Hasler and you can see that we can easily improve.
Hope to see some changes for Tuesdays game against Bognor!

Yes it was 2 points thrown away but blaming it upon the tactics adopted in the last 5 minutes of real time glosses over a deep seated problem. How long have we debated the front line problem of unconverted chances up front ? Nothing seems to have been done to change things around other than to promote ter Horst to a starting place, but is this the answer? Certainly this afternoon he had a first half bad miss which a striker on any form should have put away. I’m not a stats man but how many games is it since Jerson dos Santos hit the target ? Arguments have been raised that he gives a good link in the front row, but sorry this afternoon it simply wasn’t there and most attacks involving him broke down through over complication and delay. He seems to be an honest player but so far out of form surely he needs a break? Until late in the game we produced little by way of chances. Not surprising as all the front runners were getting was the non productive long ball over their shoulders or high ball direct from the keeper which was greedily taken up by their defence. Tim Roberts used one short ball in the whole game....this was then punted upfield by Finn O’ Mara so until the late stages of the game we simply put our front men under pressure and fed their big man at the back. It was windy today so why did we stick in the air rather than keep it on the deck? Is the lack of direction on the pitch or in the dugout (or standing in front gesticulating)?

Commenting on that the same fan who argued with Neil was very abusive towards sections of the Home fans and blamed it all on Neil so I’m very supportive of what Neil did.

Can’t argue with Biffo’s main points.
Jerson needs to be rested for now and we ARE overusing the long ball to the detriment of the team being the two obvious ones!
Tuesday next gives us a chance to get back to playing it out from the back when possible!
