Since you start off with a point, how can it be a point gained? I'm only being silly, as usual. Fact is neither side deserved to win, it was just an awful game. The ref wasn't great either.

We seem to be having Mr Dempster as our go to referee. Quite simply he should not be reffing at this level. No control of the game throughout and at one point spent minutes discussing a decision with PBs manager. Ridiculous.

I couldn't take too many positives from last night.....and I was there! The two players in the wing back positions(I assume that is the intention) are struggling imo. Jordan and Alfie did this job really well. At the moment they are not providing the width we need going forward and should be making an extra man in the box if we attack down the other flank. At the risk of repeating myself we do not break from midfield and miss Scott Heard in this respect. I can't remember an effort on target apart from the header which has already been mentioned. They had the better chances. We could have had a red card in the first half. If our ambition is just to stay in this league then a point is welcome. At the start of the season talk was of reaching the playoffs. As Gerry implied this squad of players seem unlikey to achieve that next season on the basis of what we have seen so far.

Yes Phil, I very much agree about the wing-back situation. It's not benefiting the team at present. These are specialist positions which even Liverpool can't fill . Trent has moved to midfield now apparently We have the players in the squad to create a solid back four and start from there. Toby Byron left back and I would try Will Moses at right back. Big strong, a good tackler and quick. No brainer. We have three good centre-backs for the two centre-half positions, Callum Goodman and Gaylie. Going forward you have to come up with a shape to suit the squad available, I would get Ababbio back and give him an attacking winger { either side } role. I would always have Smith on my side because we know he can score. Derry would probably benefit from crosses from a winger, most ball he gets at the moment is up the centre of the park with two centre-halves up his backside. Sanago is a strong presence centre mid, and then Alsopp and Rance would complete my side. So, that would give you a strong back four, a winger, three midfielders and two up top. Am not convinced the new keeper is an improvement on Joe at the minute. Early doors on that on still. Just a few ideas to play with.😀

Gaffer says we're staying up I think we will stay up, because I can't see the current bottom 5 catching us; I can't see us overhauling any of the teams above us either: I think we will finish where we are now, 17th - although if we continue to play as badly as we did last night, who knows?

Agreed. Even www.footballwebpages.co.uk/isthmian-football-league-premier-division/league-table/predicted agrees But as per your last line, who knows. Many leagues have a club that plummets.

Duncan how about trying to support the club instead of always turning every thing to gloom and doom, thinks you've been living up north too long.😁

When something seems to go right, then something goes wrong. This season seems a bit like that. It's the hope that kills you! You can't walk away from your club though, no matter what.
