Meanwhile, Jordon Abbabio , who is apparently not good enough to play for Invicta, scores again for Ashford .

It's getting to be a bad habit - conceding late goals. That's two games in a row where we've been 2-0 up and we've ended up with 1 point from the two. Against Cray it was down to surrendering the initiative and trying to defend the lead, which we are not good at. Was it the same today? I'm sure Gerry will tell us.

Whether we played well or not we conceded 3 goals. You will not win many if you let in 3. So what are we trying to achieve this season? Forget the top end of the table we need to stay up. Ideally start to build a squad for next season to compete at the top end of the table. Two or three new additions for the remainder of the season would surely have been enough. The gamble of a complete rebuild does not seem to be paying off. I cannot see this group of players providing the basis of a team to challenge for promotion next season. AD has got the players in that he wants and it is up to him to improve performances and results. Elsewhere in the county others are heading in the right direction about time it was us.

We started so well today. In fact, their keeper kept them in it for the first twenty minutes.
But that's the rub. We play our wingbacks very pushed-on, where they look more comfortable, less so defensively. But having gone into that 2-0 lead well into the second half we really should have taken the points.
IMO it is hard to beat a solid back four, with players who know each other's game. Nevertheless, we will play worse and win games.
I can think of an exciting winger on our books { out on loan at the moment } who would fit nicely into a 4-4-2 shape.
Agononising to concede again in the last minute. It really was a soft one though.. Pleased the home crowd no end.!!
We had a few missing today. Gayle at centre back, Sanogo and Rance, but the restructured midfield played well I thought. Kane Penn and Alsopp excellent { cracking goal from him from a through ball from Smith, who also played well } and Moses as the holding player in there.
We have to question why we are conceding these late goals. Is it our formation or do we lack the defensive players needed.?
We have a lot of players playing together for the first time, which is not easy. I have to say you cannot fault them for their effort. They deserved more from the game, to be honest.COYS
Great support behind our goal from the travelling support today !!!

Meanwhile, Jordon Abbabio , who is apparently not good enough to play for Invicta, scores again for Ashford . He wouldn't have made any difference. We were attacking quite successfully on both flanks imo. Of course you may have seen the game differently.

I think it would Mike. Neither as good a real winger and it leaves gaps defensively when they attack. We are really vulnerable to the counter at the mo.
I agree we did play well and deserved probably to win.
Have to look at the shape methinks.
Great game for the 😐

Another game of going ahead and looking together and strong, the last 20 minutes have been frustrating in the past couple of games but there are so many positives from the performances we are now seeing. We are seeing a team that can create and convert chances which we have lacked. Only a matter of time until a run of form comes 🖤🧡

For those who didn't go yesterday their keeper had a massive game...at least 3 worldy saves amongst the many other saves he made.

From listening to the commentary you could tell they were playing well and yes there keeper has had a blinder. You didn’t need to be there to no that if you were listening. The issue you have from recent games is you are missing four players in Cole , Rance , Senogo and Gayle . So you had to change it . Moses hasn’t played much so has obviously been put in at the last minute possibly not trained as out on loan . But played well. At two nil up perhaps should have gone defensive more and man marked there hatrick man as was a danger all game . As with wingbacks you can get caught to far forward and then open to being caught. We need those players back really to keep us picking up points.
