So what was the crowd? It looked bigger than 386.
As for the game, the result was probably better than the performance, although the performance, in the second half, was better than against Hastings or Hashtag.
We still don't seem to have any real plan of how we want to play, especially how to get the best from our forward players (only one effort on goal in the 1st half, and that was a header from a set piece), and we don't have anything like enough possession, mainly because we continue to play a lot of long balls.

After conceding that early goal we did well to dig out a draw.
No great style of play emerging yet, but definitely team spirit is growing. Jake Goodman is important in this respect with his constant encouraging of the team.
They didn't let us settle on the ball throughout the game and I felt that much of their tackling, especially in midfield, was outside of the laws of the game. Maybe the officials have been instructed to allow, what in my day was blatant fouling, in order to keep the flow of the game. Ruins it in my opinion.
Smith looked sharp, which is encouraging, and Ira had a bit of a cameo at the end { could do with a fit Ira !. } Derry was not getting much joy from their tall centre halves, so our best bet looked to be Jordan Abbabio down the right, in the first half.
He was getting a lot of stick from the management, don't know why. Looked our danger man to me.
Heardie had a really good, high energy game and came within inches of winning us the tie minutes from the end, with a great run and shot, which went just over the crossbar.
It looks to me as though we are still in the process of rebuilding the team after last seasons mass departures, but the spirit is improving and I feel we will get enough points to stay up this season and then, seriously have a go at this league.
Back three were solid again, particularly Callum. COYS!!

Good point won yesterday. Still a lot of passes going astray. Still think we need to up the tempo a bit more . Jordan in behind was a big option yet the diagonal ball seemed to fall to the defender . Sanogo and Heardy impressed in midfield. We defended better. Going forward Smithy maybe needs to be closer to Derry though held the ball better. Penn needs to get the crosses in first time for Derry rather than take a touch which they can address in training. Overall a hard fought point. Hopefully they can carry it forward.
