Attendance: 1,138 Remarkable. Remarkable indeed, especially after our performance against Hastings. What keeps us coming back? Morbid fascination? To be fair, after another poor start, we didn't play too badly in the first half, and our goal was a good one. But second half was all them and the only surprise was that it took them so long to score. If we don't improve significantly and quickly then we are going down.

They lost again and chances of a SE Kent derby are fading unless FIFC get some points PDQ. Need 10 points minimum from Jan fixtures imo. Anyway Best wishes to all at the club and beyond for 2024 as footy is only a game and no-one usually dies from it. Keith

In the game still with 6minutes left felt the changes could have been done slightly earlier. Gave the ball away to easy second half . Maybe could have put Coker and Derry up top and brought Byron on in Midfield for extra legs last 15 . We need to improve quickly though a lot better today than Tuesday.

Matched Hashtag first half with a spirited display. Scored a good goal through Tom Derry a proper number 9 the likes of which we have not had for some time. Second half we were never in it. Apparent from very early on too. Yet we stick with two wide men up front who just don't produce enough. Surely a change of shape has to be considered, one more in midfield, one alongside Derry. We have to become more difficult to beat, too easy to play through at the moment.

Have to agree with both Stumpy and Phil. Without change, we are destined to go down. Playing a front three when you have a target-type center forward without someone playing off him is hard to understand. We have the players to go to a formation to give us two up-top, wide people and a stronger midfield. Namely 3-5-2.
I know we have lost some good players from last season, but I feel we are not getting the best out of what we do have. There was a bit more spirit about the side today but in the end, we have to admit Hashtag were better than us.
Worrying times for the club, hate to think of us going down after all that time we took to get up. We have not been this low for a few years,
If we are to stay up, money has to be spent on the playing and managerial side. Over to our new owners....

Good performances from Cole in midfield, and particularly from Callum at the back. But the front three are too far apart from each other to be an effective unit. Our goal was very well worked with a good finish from Berry.
But we are not gelling as a team at the moment. Worrying.

But not sure what more "our new owners" can do reference money spent on playing side - current budget is at Conference South Level.

Not being used wisely then fan. It is so difficult to get so many new players to gel quickly, teams take time to build. Formation is wrong in my opinion and team selection is perplexing at times.

I would be very interested in what was said at half time to our players . I imagine it was something along the lines of … well you’re starting to play like a team , you’ve got a goal back now go out and let’s do what we do best … and sure enough they did …. absolutely bugger all in the second half . Not one shot on goal . Another mass exodus of fans before the final whistle .

1-2 Absolute worldie to be fair 84 minutes It certainly was, had a perfect view of it from behind the goal at the Wilmoth end looking toward the goal, just to side toward the Wilf Armoury. Whereabouts were you standing? Was it a better view?

Grandad stand in front of ptess box. The lay off to the guy who scored it made it as he was found in in plenty of space and within hitable distance. I said to my dad "he's going to hit this". Unfortunately.

Excellent camera work- f***ing annoying commentary though.
As for the playoffs - form stats say Hashtag will make it, along with Chatham, Enfield and Hastings, but there's still half a season to go.
As for us, we need to start winning games quickly; tomorrow would be a great time to start in what is a bit of a six-pointer.

Don't worry boys. The club have hastily arranged a game against a combined Arsenal/Man Utd XI in order to get a win to boost morale!

Got a bit of a deflection too Having watched their video, which has a goal-cam view of it, it's a pretty massive deflection - not sure it would have gone in without it.

The ones I've been doing based on form over the last 10 games largely do concur, but with a few significant differences. I get the same top 7, but not in the same order, the significant difference being that Billericay don't make the play-offs, but Hastings do. I get three of the bottom four the same (including us, sadly), but have Concord staying up and Margate going down. In general I get people finishing in the same part of the table as the FWP predictions, apart from Potters Bar that they have finishing 17th and I reckon will finish 9th. They don't seem to have noticed that, after a poor start to the season, Potters Bar's form has been excellent - only 1 defeat (to Hornchurch) in their last 10 games, 5 of which they won. Still, form based stats are a bit volatile and, if you are around the bottom of the table, one win can make a big difference, especially against a relegation rival. Let's hope we get that win today.
