How I managed to sit for 90 minutes, freezing cold, watching that load of crapI will never know .

Conceded an awful goal early on. Didn't really respond first half - not sure we had a shot. Second half we huffed and puffed for 20 minutes and hit the top of the bar with our best chance, but then we faded and the game just drifted on until full time. Lucky we were playing mediocre opposition or it would have been a heavier defeat.
A lot of work for Andy Drury to do to turn the current mess round and it needs to happen fast if we are going to avoid being dragged into a relegation scrap.
Bloody cold as well!

Credit Scott Heard for his 100% efforts. Drury led a bit of a surge start of 2nd half but as Stumpy says it all faded after that. Little or no penetration. Got the feeling Bognor could have offered more but didn't need to go through the gears. It was Byron who hit the bar, Holness did his hamstring.

After last Saturday`s game, I was disappointed. After today`s, I am worried.!
This team, based on our last two performances, is not good enough for this league. We obviously don't want to be relegated, so we need to recruit a number of players { and get Ababbio back from Faversham } quickly if we want to avoid this.
Whatever has happened to the team that won 4-0 away at Wingate and pushed Hornchurch so hard.?
Team spirit is glaringly absent as is some kind of credible formation. What, for instance, is Regis doing on the right flank.? We get rid of a recognized winger { Ababbio} and put a central midfielder in his place?
We continue to pump long high balls despite the fact that we don't have a target man. Smith hardly touched the ball today and we all know what a good striker he can be.
I was under the impression that when we sacked the previous managers we had somebody with a proven record in our league to come in.
We all hope that current couch Drury will prove to be successful but he will need a better team than the one on the pitch today. Probably needs not to play himself AND get some experienced support on the sidelines to help him.
Worrying times.!

It's not just the last two games: our form over the last ten games is not good enough to keep us up - I'm not talking about a feeling in my gut here, I've been looking at some stats; I'll do a post on it probably tomorrow.

There was one glaring difference between the two teams today and that was Bognor wanted the ball . Both teams are obviously struggling this season but Bognor played as a team whereas we had eleven players on the pitch . What is the answer ? … I don’t know , but what I do know is that we won’t survive unless someone gets this team playing as one .

Angie, much as I admire Andy Drury as a player, on the evidence so far, I have to agree with you!

One other thing that didn't help the game yesterday was the pitch - it was pretty awful and might have played a part in their goal. I was surprised how bad it was, since it wasn't that bad when we played Haringey over a week ago and the weather hasn't been so wet since then that we couldn't have worked on it. Just adds to the general gloom that has descended.

Word is that we are getting players in.
To go with that Andy needs to get them playing through the midfield with width, so that we can also enjoy watching the game, whatever the results.

Not sure how new players will help unless the current lot don't really want to play for the club and don't turn up with the desire, as pointed out on this thread how Bognor seemed 'up for it' but FIFC weren't. Need to stay in this division as looks odds on Dover getting relegated with 12pts and second bottom in NLS. Bottom 4 go down and current safety level is over 20 points (which is what 4th from bottom current has). So local derby on offer with large gate??

This season is the golden opportunity to get the real SE Kent derby back. Dover playing their part but boy do we need to stay up.
