I know this is not team news but to reach the widest audience....
It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Ken Arnold - long term supporter and Dad to club stalwart Clive.
He was, for many years, an active member of the original ‘fixit’ crew and of the Supporters Club and its many functions. This genial chap was always ready with a smile and banter, particularly if it related to an Arsenal win or his uncanny ability to win at raffles, draws, 50/50 and golden goals.
Ken had been a regular ‘away bus’ tripper, particularly to his old Surrey stomping grounds but as time and health took its toll he was only able to come to home matches. There he would be seen sitting at “Ken’s Perch’ in the club shop with a tea, a bacon roll and always a smile.
Sadly he has been absent from our presence for some time now and passed peacefully away early on Saturday 14th Oct
To his many friends, present or previously departed, he was an easy man to like…… You’ll be missed Ken.
Our condolences to Clive, Frances, Lawrence, and all who loved him.

That is very sad news indeed.
He was a lovely man, and I enquired of Clive as to how he was only a couple or so months ago.
Whenever I think of Ken, I always remember a few years ago him missing the coach to a play off game at Dulwich Hamlet, so he came with me and we chatted away merrily on our journey to the match.
R.I.P. Ken and condolences to Clive and his family.

Another memory of Ken.
When we used to travel on the team coach, he always brought Richard Murrill a packed lunch or shared his own.

Many thanks for all the kind comments via text email and here .
He loved watching Folkestone. Has still been watching all the videos on YouTube. He was always available to do repairs etc at the ground. Only once complaining about replacing another away dressing room door.
Loved his away games and the help and care he was always given.
He will joining Harry and the others having a moan about a missed chance.
Thanks again Clive

It was a lovely service and a great turnout to remember Ken.
It's a shame the Weather Gods didn't lay on better weather.
