It should be noted that the Ashford game on the 12th September clashes with the FA cup preliminary round. As a step 4 club Ashford will be in that and we may also be, as 15 step 3 clubs will be drawn to enter at that round due to last season being expunged and therefore there being no league positions to determine the lowest ranks teams to do so.

I’d suggest it’s better we don’t get drawn to play an extra round but if we do end up with an FA cup game on that date with crowds it might draw people in.

Also I’ve just spotted that the Ramsgate game is a week tomorrow. Shocked me how close it is already!

At the moment we’ve no idea if we’ll be able to attend any of the games to cover them for social media/Invicta TV/podcast/etc. I’m bouncing between hopeful one minute because if seems the sensible thing to do to have people they can justify in attendance to test procedures and actually bring publicity to clubs that need it and doubtful that they’ll want the bother of even a handful being there. But we’ll be waiting on a game by game basis to find out the situation and will update when we know what we are able to do.
Worst case I might nip to Ramsgate on Saturday for a few pints and try and catch the manager and a few lads afterwards.

Knock on the door of one of these places & ask if you can look out their back bedroom window for 2 hours. Won't sound suspicious at all. Attachments:

I'm considering turning up with a step ladder and peeking over the fence from the grass car park.

We’ve had the nod to cover the game on Saturday. Will be updates on twitter, highlights and possible a full match coverage on Invicta TV, will grab some words from Cugs and the players, as well as Pilch doing his report of the game.

Going to be a bit strange but will be good to be back into the routine of it all, and even though it’s only friendlies it feels like there’s an appetite for information that I wouldn’t have expected if it was open to fans. Being locked out seems to have given the game a mystique.
