Will the powers that be please identify who will be the designated coordinator of the Playing Squad Fund.
As the longstanding keeper of the shop, I know full well that Fans who have no access/inclination or use of the internet will come in and ask who to contact.
This includes those who may be first time participants in the scheme or regulars who have/are contributing to the 'Share Purchase/Extra Sub/Friend of Folkestone/12th Man initiatives past or present.

Talking of the share purchase, I'm assuming the monies from that go in to the playing fund. Or am I misguided in that? The reason I ask, is with the share purchase you get something from your contribution at the end of it.

The website article says this is similar to Tonridge's 12th Man scheme. There is one huge difference. Tonbridge's scheme allows subscribers to choose the level of their monthly donation from £10 up.
In my opinion, £50 is way too high and will price a lot of people out. Amazingly, when I told my wife about it, she said "if you think you're giving Invicta £600 of our money a year, you've got another think coming." But she needn't have worried, I'd already ruled that out.
Isn't this just the extra-subs scheme (or whatever other name we given it in the past) rebranded. As far as I'm aware (because I still pay in) those schemes are still running - or are they closed to new members?
I honestly think that the £50 a month fixed donation needs a re-think or I doubt there will be many takers.
And if the club is going to move significantly towards supporter funding, shouldn't there be a supporters representative on the board? Heresy, I know....
Why not put an advert in the Non-League Paper. "Football club seeks non-executive directors"?

The reason I ask, is with the share purchase you get something from your contribution at the end of it. The share income will have been spent a long time ago and it isn't steady; it can only be a trickle by now, if that. Shares are still issued for contributions under some of the existing schemes - extra-subs for example. You'd have thought that this scheme would be the same in that respect, but there's no mention of it.

Morning All I thought I would just put this on the Forum before it gets out of hand
At the last AGM meeting this scheme was put forward by some of you the supporters and NOTHING to do with the Board of directors. The figure of £50 per month was the figure mentioned by the supporters who brought this up so again NOTHING to do with the Board of Directors and I agree £50 maybe be a bit to much for some people and I personally think it should be what you can afford and want to pay. As you all know YES we need new Directors and more investment and no one has ever denied that but that person, people, company etc has to be right for the football club which I have said many times before and if anyone is interested in getting more involved in the club or know anyone who would like to invest in the club please feel free to come and talk to us. So following the AGM meeting the board got together and discussed this scheme and thought it would be a good idea to put something on our web site to see what sort of interest we would get and nothing more at this time hence why no contact details given apart from an email address. If it is going to take off and be a success then we would need to sit down to discuss how we can move it forward and I personally think someone from the supporters club should take it on and be a representative on the board. The Board are always open to suggestions so please feel free to come and speak to us.

You could always give up the fags John (Stumpy) and donate the proceeds to the club!!! I was waiting for that one, although I was expecting it from Clive Arnold. Now that I'm a pensioner, economics might do me a favour and force the issue. And some of what I wrote was a bit tongue in cheek, but, like Paul, I do think that some thought needs to be given to affordability. For many people, £600 a year won't be viable, so perhaps there needs to be some thinking about flexibility?

To be honest, I haven't a clue what the rules are as far as they apply to me. But I am a pensioner, if that means someone living on a pension, it's just not the state one. So far the only good things about passing the 60 milestone are getting cheaper train tickets and getting into Invicta for £8; everything else, you can stick up your arse. Still, I'm in better nick now than I will be in at any further point in my life

Thanks for the comments Paul!
What's the difference between this & the player fund that was set up a couple of seasons ago? I understand this is supporter backed & is a good way to support a promotion push but a £50 pm commitment is too high in my opinion. It should be lower to be accessible to all fans who may only want to put a relatively small amount in like £10 pm.
