Surprised there hasn't been any comment/discussion on here about the interview with Callum on the back page of this week's Herald. To say the least, it's interesting, even a bit worrying.

It's a bit long and in places a bit vague, but it's about what might happen next season, especially if we get promoted. Here is an extract of what Callum is quoted as saying:
"I think this is the last year probably this group will stay together."
"We always said at the start of the year that this would be our last big push and see where we end up."
"I think this is a last chance saloon for everything. Fingers crossed we can make it all count."
"I can't speak for anyone else, but I know a lot of people have got kids and obviously the league above's got a lot of travelling. There's a possibility that people may not want to do that travelling. I know everyone would like to play at the highest level possible they can, but with family, logistics and work, sometimes it doesn't work."
Then this about Cugs: "He said he's enjoying it, and all the time he's enjoying it he's going to stay. You would think that he wouldn't carry on for that much longer. I'm not trying to push him out the door, I'm not insinuating that at all. He hasn't said anything about leaving, but he's been here a long time. If we were to get promoted, you'd like to end on a high. I think everyone sort of sees it that way. We can end on a high, because we've obviously done well."
Then this in closing: "I would like to say that I will 100 per cent stay, but I don't know. I don't know who's staying, if Neil's staying, or where we're going to be."
So there you go, pick the bones out of that.
Me personally, I've been worrying for a couple of years now about whether as a club we have even begun to think about continuity when Neil packs it in, as he must surely do sooner or later. I asked the question at the last shareholders/supporters AGM, but didn't really get an answer, as if the attitude was "we'll cross that bridge when we come to it". Maybe there is a plan, or the beginning of a plan, maybe not; if not, maybe it's time to get to work on one?

Probably a shock to people that the herald even mentioned us.
Clearly the way our squad has stayed together the last few years is much more consistent than other clubs at our level. I’d just suggest people enjoy this while they can.
