Could it be Andy Hessenthaler or Chris Kinnear, Sad to see them go and a big thanks to them i guess we needed a change a manager not two football coaches.

It was on the cards wasn't it?
I don't know much at all about non-league football, but obviously know of Andy Hessenthaler.
He's still local I take it? He was at Gillingham wasn't he.
Would he be expensive?

Ditto to the Lawman's comments.
It's a sad day for FI. Thanks for everything Mev and Edgy.

It’s something that we are not used to at FI sackings managers. Thanks to you both for all you have done for the club. Hope to see you over Cheriton Road sometime.

The job this season was made so difficult for them with the departure of eight of last year`s established players.
Attracting quality players to this neck of the woods is not easy, whatever your budget, especially with all those problems with the M20.
They gave it their best shot but rebuilding a side is a slow process and the one thing you do not get in today`s game is time.
They have both given many years as players, as well as managers, of our club and have had some great times here. I know that our supporters will thank them and wish them well. Two smashing blokes.!

Neither of these two deserve this . They have served this club with honesty and a passion to succeed. Would have been better to actually get rid of Cugley and let Mev and Edgy run things their way .

Let's hope the new man is allowed , no insists , that he does things his own way with no interference from any previous holder of the post. Mev and edgy are good blokes but both cut their managerial teeth under the Cugley regime so , basically nothing changed when they took over. But two people doing the same job was never going to work as differences of opinion were bound to occur , basic human nature. i would think that a club of Invicta's standing would attract a good response. hope so.

We can't change our geography but I think we're in a great position to get a good new manager in:
1) good crowds that will only get bigger if we get better 2) new investors that appear ambitious 3) reasonable set of players already at the club to work on 4) low position / expectations so only way is up
Let's see who comes in.

I can't believe some of you still think Neil is at fault...I along with you all would like to thank both of them for their service..but we move on...let's go forward and not back...be interesting to see if NH or Hess take up the post😉😅

If they were sacked then I assume some financial payout is involved? If resigned then diddly squat? I dont think many clubs at semi-pro or pro level have joint managers/coaches, hence the final showdown. I bet they have offers lined up anyway so don't get too upset.

It's sad. As others have said, two great blokes who have given a lot to Invicta over so many years.
As I've said before, I didn't think anything would happen before the end of the season, but I was wrong there.
There's no getting away from the fact that, on the pitch, we seem to have lost our way. Relegation would be a disaster, but our form in the last couple of months suggests that it's a real possibility. I guess the "powers that be" see it that way and couldn't see Edgy and Mev turning it round.
Presumably they already have somebody lined up. Whoever it is has quite a job on their hands.

In my opinion it's the performances but no doubt it can be twisted into 'its all Neil's fault' to fit in with certain individuals narrative. So Hess or NH?😉

Both Mev and Edgy have tried to get things going the right way but has not worked out for them . Mev maybe get involved with the academy and train with them if registered as a player still . End of the day football is a business at this level . Fans turn up to watch a team perform on the pitch. They haven’t been doing it someone takes responsibility. However who ever comes in needs to have their own team from the director of football down to the coaches. Otherwise you may be looking at the poison chalice situation. All the best to Mev and Edgy for the future

With just over 48 hours until our next game, I wonder if it will be Drury covering over the weekend or is there someone lined up in the background ready to be unveiled.

Funnily enough "Indeed" does show this (maybe we need to post the position in there ) uk.indeed.com/q-women-football-coach-jobs.html?vjk=0ea1d5be7332c9c9As everyone wants their tuppence worth, how about we follow this business model? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MyFootballClub (embarrassingly I was a co-owner - a complete disaster all round)
