It plays at the moment (15:25 pm). The interviewer could have told Phil Parkinson to speak up though; can hardly hear him at times. It was the highlights that appear to temperamental.

Having watched the whole game, Wrexhams class and the lads tired legs in defence ultimately was our downfall. Once we started to run out of steam, the press faded and they started to play as they could. It was a shame that we did not get the subs on earlier, the game had gone late in the second half and it would have been nice to see Ollie and the young lad get 15 minutes.

In my best Jim Bowen voice: let's see what you would have won....
Home to Boring Wood.

I think we have been told several times that we would not necessarily have been allocated the same numbered ball. Everybody refers to the extra long journey which we knew would be a slog for the players after a very early alarm call. Gloucester City came down the day before a cup match and stayed over, claiming travel and hotel costs so that they at least broke the trip up. (I know that the match didn’t go to plan for them) Just wondering why Invicta could not have travelled Friday night and had a 12-00 noon kick off so that everybody was home at a reasonable hour on Saturday.

Good grief, does it matter what number ball we would or wouldn't of had its just that our Victor's Wrexham have drawn Boring wood and it could have been us..
Perhaps we could of had a 7.45pm KO and stayed over Saturday....the decision was made its done and dusted.

(I know that the match didn’t go to plan for them) Just wondering why Invicta could not have travelled Friday night and had a 12-00 noon kick off so that everybody was home at a reasonable hour on Saturday. An early kick off was indeed one of the 2 options, although 1pm I was told. Quite what issues where taken into account from our end when it came to deciding which kick off time we preferred I cannot say, and in fact it may have been Wrexham that made that decision as 5:30pm is better for tv viewers, but a 5 and a half hour journey on a Friday night would have still either required the players to take time off work or a very late arrival, if not both. Should you leave Folkestone at 5pm you’d still not be reaching Wrexham until gone 10pm at the very earliest, and then needed to be ready for an earlier kick off than usual. The trophy provides less prize money and gate receipts (which I’d suggest was an even bigger uncertainty given it was streamed) than the FA cup to cover added costs such as hotel rooms. Gloucester are by comparison a well funded full time club (I believe) who therefore didn’t face the same issues. Their players would likely have trained on the Friday anyway. As comparison Tunbridge Wells did travel down to Somerset for their Vase tie on Friday night, but that journey is roughly 3 hours 15 minutes so a fair bit shorter than ours. Anyway, what is done is done and I believe the club should have done ok out of it, only about 5 trophy ties had a bigger crowd than we managed online and we weren’t far off what Wrexham had for the previous round at home to Gloucester. It is a shame however that supporters couldn’t be there in person and it’s not a particularly enjoyable way to watch football. Hopefully we never have to experience it again.

I think we have been told several times that we would not necessarily have been allocated the same numbered ball. I know but it's still fun to look At the risk of appearing to take sides, we would have had the same numbered ball as Wrexham. Once you get past the rounds where regionalisation is involved, the draw numbers for the Trophy are allocated the same way as they are for the FA Cup. The draw number is determined by the order in which the ties were drawn in the previous round; it isn't at all random. So, because Wrexham v Invicta was the third tie drawn in the 4th round, Wrexham were ball 3 in the 5th round draw - and if we had won the tie, we would have been ball 3 just like Wrexham and we would be playing Boring Wood. Or would we - what about the Butterfly Effect? Apologies for being such a nerd that I looked this up.

Saddo more like not nerd From Wiktionary: saddo (plural saddos) (informal, derogatory) A pathetic or socially inept person; a nerd. See, I looked that up as well...

Totally agree especially the sentence about subs, but then I wasnt there so must be a toxic statement again

Just watched the highlights on YouTube. Thanks to an editing mistake, we score twice (same goal both times) - if only... Actually, it's a really good goal by Ade. We do look dead on our feet towards the end though, which I guess is only to be expected.

We had 2 subs on by the 66th min. That early for us, in fact it must be a record.
