Assuming that games can continue in the New Year (and that is debatable) who would we wish for when draw made tomorrow lunchtime? Obviously anybody at home! However a few teams still in the competition based down in the S West, which would perhaps please one or two but involve very long journeys. (Weymouth, Plymouth Parkway, Larkhall Athletic, Yeovil and possibly Truro who are playing today) Any of these away could involve overnight stays for the team? Tonbridge, Maidstone, Southend, Dartford or Bromley away would probably draw in good crowds and a bit more cash for the club. Not a huge distance to travel either. Guaranteed £1,500 from next round anyway. Cheshunt at home would be my preference. Hopefully games can continue after the festive break and we will have something to look forward to in January.

A few north east / north west clubs went out in the last round, so if it ends up an away trip at least that lowers the chances of travelling the full length of the country. If it is away, how about Aldershot? League standard ground, only 90 minutes away.

Dagenham have beaten Truro on penalties this afternoon. Aldershot away would be OK Thought it was still a north/south split but it ain’t - Morpeth or Wrexham away anybody? Take a week off for those!

If we share the gate then Wrexham away, if not then Wrexham at home as they have a good following.

They seem to have allocated the ball numbers by north & south: top half-ish northern-ish, bottom half-ish southern-ish. Click on link & it shows the list: FAT.jfif (42.96 KB)

Great tie! Couldn't believe it when I was listening to the draw! and they announced the wrong club initially as well (Plymouth Parkway ball 31). Big pay for the club as Wrexham average 8,000 in the league games. Hopefully get a good contingent from Folkestone

The better option of those two for sure, but a five hour journey at the best of times and around 270 miles. Hopefully get the game played if all stay healthy and an opportunity for big crowd.

I didn't realise you had psychic powers, Geoff Must be the biggest club we've played in many years, perhaps ever, if you're talking about Invicta? Definitely up there with Oxford United. I'm sure we'll be taking a good few - unfortunately, I can't be one of them - grr. Fingers crossed the Welsh covid regulations don't change between now and the game - at the moment they would not be a problem.

It’s a massive stadium and they get good crowds for league games but on Saturday against Gloucester they only had 1800. Their fans are talking about playing fringe players or their under 23’s .

Chester is near enough the same distance & we had a few hundred there for the FA Cup (was that 16 years ago?). Mind you Chester is a nice visit, & Wrexham is, well, not so much.

Quite a high possibility of this I reckon - “ Always look on the bright side of life” I'm generally an optimist, but always a realist.
