Thoroughly enjoyed that, first half reminded me of an exhibition match, 2nd half they had a little flurry, but nothing we couldn't handle and Tim made a great save, enjoyable afternoon and 2nd in League 🤓.

Brilliant, forwards scoring, midfield spreading the ball about and defending solid a proper team performance. Pretty hard to beat when in that form.

All of the above, great team display. Ade had a terrific game with ‘give and goes’, tenacity, speed and working tirelessly for the side Mev did his best to keep up with the pace of the game, but understandably went off second half to a solid round of appreciation Rain came along second half but weather a lot better than Tuesday. A big shout out for fans of the visitors who kept up their vocal support all the way through- not easy when your side is ‘not on it’. I’m sure they will prove difficult to beat on another day. Also well done to all the officials today, an enjoyable match without any contentious decisions. And…….. we used substitutes today.

Another excellent home performance against a Harringay side who enjoyed quite a bit of possession, particularly in the second half, but had nowhere near the fire power of our front two. Particularly now with the addition of Kieron McCann to the forward line. On their day Dave and Ade are pretty much unplayable. Dave Smith is maturing so quickly. Holding, laying off and scoring to boot. A real prospect at a young age for a striker. Kieron McCann who has now reached fitness is another that teams cant handle. We have to accept that if we want to play our best team it will be a little left-leaning ( like me ) so you play the shape that accommodates your players available to you. Some of our goals today were beautifully constructed one-touch efforts. But ADE`s second was a thing of beauty, cutting inside from the left and driving with his right foot with power, to the keeper`s left. Some goal. But they are all worth watching on Invicta TV. Mev took over from RJ in midfield and defied the years to win a lot of ball for us. JV took over from Matt Newman at centre back and was excellent. Jordan at right-back makes football look easy. Gets it gives it and moves. Just like all the best players! We can see why Harringay drew with Worthing. They have some very good players going forward, especially their nine and ten. So two goals each for Dave and Ade ( both trying hard for the hat trick ) and another for MOTM Alfie Paxman. AND we are up to SECOND in the table. A good day all around! COYS !!

Ano So two goals each for Dave and Ade ( both trying hard for the hat trick ) and another for MOTM Alfie Paxman. Gerry, it was Scott Heard who scored the first - Alfie crossed for him to head in.

Should mention also how good our defence was today. From Tim in goal (one flying save in particular comes to mind in the second half)to right across the back four, they all defended that clean sheet as if their life depended on it, and Mev adding to it by doing the tough ball-winning in midfield.
I saw RJ in the crowd and joked to him `that it now ..Mev`s got your place for keeps `.

I think that was the same ref as we had against Hornchurch - she was pretty good then as well.

The only real proper chance they had was a gascgoine sequel slide from a cross. We played them off the park. Always dangerous on the break. Their best player was their #6, tall defender. But their keeper was abysmal. Shout out to their support to be fair they were singing their hearts out. All in all a great game, we push on

I have to say after watching that, their goalkeeper was poor

Harsh(ish). Anyway, from our team it was noticeable how well the players know where each other are, or going to be, for passes / crosses. Some of the interplay was superb.

Harsh, maybe, but completely fair on the day - he didn't cover himself in glory, particularly on the 2nd and 3rd goals. But that isn't to take anything away from us - we were very good. And what you say about our interplay is spot on; I watched the second half from the grandad stand, rather than my usual terrace spot, and it was noticeable how good our one-touch passing was.
