I hate to bring bad news but I have just received the news that Harry Lester passed away this morning.
His Daughter put on Facebook:
''We are heartbroken to tell you all that our strong and courageous Dad passed away this morning 10/02/21. Our lives will be forever changed and we hope he is now at peace with our lovely Mum.
Again, your kind words and condolences provide so much comfort to our family at this time.
Until we meet again, Dad. 🖤🧡
Dean, Donna and Rikki xxx''
Harry was such a kind loving Character and was always nice to me and had a good laugh with me, I will miss him like many others will, a true supporter.
Rest Easy Harry.

It's so so sad. The games won't seem the same without Harry. With his glass of red and he and Ted bickering at each other. Sharing seats on the Fans away bus with them was non stop banter and fun.
Rest in peace, my old mate. Will remember you at every game I go to.

Gutted to hear the news. As we all know he hasn't been well for some time but i was always hopeful he had a few more years ahead of him. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends and of course his nemesis Ted...great pair of old mates always bickering...waldorf and Statler! I really am gutted RIP old friend and fellow gooner. FIFC will miss him so much.

Heard the news this morning, very sad and my thoughts are with his family.
Harry was one of the characters that make non-league footy like nothing else. Unfailing support for his town team, vocally, physically and financially. Another of the 'one-offs'
Rest easy Harry, Arse wouldn't have won the Cup this year anyway.

Not easy to comment on this . I had a long chat with Dean at lunchtime about his Dad.
We had a tear had a laugh and a moan .
All I can say he was he was a fantastic friend for everyone at Cheriton Road . He will be missed too many of the old guard going .
Such a pity we can't give him the send off the should have.

One in a million personality and done an awful lot as a supporter over the years. A face I'll always associate to matchday and one which will be sorely missed by both me and my Granddad, as well as many others. Won't be the same, what a loss to Cheriton Road. Rest easy Harry.

Absolutely devastated Harry was a very friendly and funny person and it was great to catch up with him at every game. I had a lot of time for Harry he made me feel so welcome when I got involved with Folkestone Invicta fc. I for 1 will miss him very much. RIP Harry it was a real pleasure knowing you

So sad to hear of Harry's passing, and a very difficult time for his family having lost their Mum as well not so long ago. Always ready with a friendly word and a chat. Just won't be the same without Harry. Thoughts are with his family. R.I.P. Harry.

So sad to hear this news.
Harry was so supportive of Joh, having sponsored him for years and always took time to have a chat with our family at games home and away.
Will be missed massively at Cheriton rd.

Just seen this and didn't know. Such sad news. Call me a big girl's blouse (as Harry probably did at least once), but reading all the comments above I couldn't hold back a tear or two (didn't even try 😊).
It's not the first time Harry has had me in tears. The time before, a couple of years ago, was his reply to Ted who had just said something obnoxious to wind him up: "I'd smack you in the mouth, if I wasn't worried about busting my hand on those stupid great choppers of yours." Comic genius.
"Just a really smashing bloke" - yep, that sums Harry up.
Harry's son Rikki is my next-door-but-one neighbour. I will print these comments off and give them to him as a way of passing all our condolences to Harry's family.

Splendid turn out at the ground for Harry’s fly past. Good job the distance police weren’t about. Gone but certainly not forgotten.

I remember that despite all his leg pulling , if he thought you were a bit unsure etc as a newbie he would have a word or prompt someone else to boost you up so fond memories Harry and thank you .
