Well obertan, if you where laughing before, you must be splitting your sides now. Worthing FC, targeted £43000 in 55 days from their fans. 6 days in and the total is £30000. Funny isn't it. Or have you got another unfunny comment to make.

Obertan, and how silly of me. Forgot to add that those silly T-Shirts have sold out twice. Which funnily enough almost equates to the money raised by FIFC.

Or have you got another unfunny comment to make. Raised in donations? Or raised selling life season tickets for £1500 or named bricks for £50 of signed shirts for £150? As honourable a total as it is, do you really think the total would be anywhere remotely close to £30k if it was no strings unrewarded donations?

Plymouthseasider, there where six life season tickets available. All sold. Anything above £50 gets you an inscribed bloody brick. Do you seriously think that is an incentive or is it just that Worthing FC has far more supporters. Get real...

Ohh blimey, the old chestnut of having a bigger house or a blacker cat than someone else. 4/10 for originality troll. I do remember from the not too far distant past when I lived in Eriswell Road that the days before the money man rocked up at Woodside Road that the average attendance was little more than 200. Pretty impressive that for town with almost three times the population of Folkestone and with a far larger catchment area and with no rivals for atleast 15 miles.

I’ll take not looking like spoilt children over a thick wad of cash, thanks, and the fact your supporters have lapped them up is again hilarious. But not as hilarious as the state of you, trawling another club’s forum and throwing a fit at somebody laughing at your club.

I'm not entirely sure why we need to poke fun at the fundraising efforts of other non-league clubs...
We're all in difficult situations; how about we stick together and show some solidarity?

We're all in difficult situations; how about we stick together and show some solidarity? “We” aren’t doing anything, I’m laughing at a club that clearly isn’t taking being denied promotion very well and has spent 2 months crying about it. Beyond being embarrassing and cringeworthy the idea that they’ve been robbed of promotion shows a lack of respect to the clubs around them, there’s absolutely no guarantee they’d have won the league and if I was betting on it my money would have been on Cray. Their fundraising efforts have been incredible but that’s got nothing to do with the fact that 2 months on they’re still seemingly crying about the situation. I’d be embarrassed if my club acted in such a way.

Worthing FC are not a so called (rich) club as so many think hence the crowd funding. Our players wages Are funded by crowd money. George our chairman put money into the club he loves to save us from going out of business He paid our debts off. So we still had a club to support! The T Shirts what's so wrong with patting fans wallow in the Glory of what might have been ?? Why take the p**s ?? Directed at the few

Who cares I suppose, let's start the song 'and now you're gonna believe us, and now you're gonna believe us...we didn't win the league....we didn't win the league....and now you're gonna believeeeeee us we didn't win the league'....anyway we'll done on the fundraising and I love those T shirts!

Well I don't have a problem with Worthing, nor Dover for that matter.
I always enjoy Worthing away, their fans are very passionate and the atmosphere lively as is the game - every single time! Great day out and one of my favourites! I always get a lovely cooked breakfast (late one) at a nice cafe near their ground.
If they get promoted next season (and it looks likely), then good luck to them. Naturally I would prefer us going up as well of course!

There's a place on place on the Parade off Wallace Avenue, Durrington about a 5 to 10 min walk from West Worthing or Durrington on sea stations called The Lazy Brunch which I use regularly. It's quite pricey compared to a greasy spoon but the quality of the food is exceptional, esp the butchers sausages and bacon. So that's well worth a visit. There's a brilliant real ale and cider micropub on the parade too called Georgi Fins. Or a Toby Carvery over road for anyone into chain pubs. No more that 10 to 15 mins walk back to ground from there too.
